Hello all - 2005/12/14 01:46 Hi everyone, I have just found this forum to study English from another ESL forum. It looks great but I don't see many threads as well as members here. Is it a new forum? Nice to meet you all here and I hope you will help me improve my English.

Re:Hello all - 2005/12/14 13:47 Hi Sunshine,

It's nice to have you here!

To answer your question, we just introduced our website and this forum about a month ago. As a result, I don't think that many students have found us yet. I also think a lot of people are shy about writing in English. I'm glad you're not!

If you have any suggestions as to how we could introduce Open English World to more students around the world, we would be very interested in hearing them!

Re:Hello all - 2005/12/16 02:23 Thanks for your welcome!!! Very nice to be here. May I ask another question? Is this forum for learning English only? I mean can you set up any subforums for music, sports... or chat room?

As for how to introduce this forum to others, I think the best way now is introduce it in other forums, which are common already. (Because I also found it in another forum)

Re:Hello all - 2005/12/16 12:13 Sunshine:

Thanks for the input and suggestions.

As for your question regarding additional forums, Open English World is primarily a community for helping people to learn English, and our focus is on building that community. Thefore, we will be adding forums from time to time so that our community members can share their ideas and thoughts. We think that a sense of community is extremely important, and we want to foster that community. Therefore, I think that additional forums is a great idea, provided of course that those forums help everyone learn English and help our community communicate and grow stronger.

Best,
Mike
