Re:want to learn english - 2006/05/22 00:50 Hello Jaga,

Open English is dedicated to helping people improve their language skills. I am sure we will be able to help you.

To begin with, you can set up and interview with a teacher of your choice. For that, you need to 'Try a Teacher' and choose the one you want to talk to. Then, you fill out the form and put in the time when you are available and send it. The teacher will get back to you. You can then chat with a teacher for free to discuss what you need help with and how the teacher can help you. If you are satisfied with the teacher, then you can 'Purchase Lessons' and begin your classes.

I hope that answers your question. If you have any more questions, we will be happy to clarify.

Archana

Re:want to learn english - 2006/05/28 13:53 Hi Jaga,
I would just like to add a few items to the excellent response provided by Archana. When arranging your interview with one of the Teachers you will find it helpful to provide:
1. An understanding of your objectives e.g. I would like to learn conversational business English, I need to improve my pronunciation, I need to focus on specific business needs - telephone skills etc. This will help your teacher customise a lesson plan that will match your specific language needs.
2. Try to advise the Teacher of your current language status - Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced learner. This will assist the teacher in getting the balance right for your initial lesson plan
3. Advise the Teacher of your hobbies and interests. In this way the Teacher is able to customise the lesson plans in order to make them an enjoyable experience. Learning is also about having fun!
4. Ensure that you conduct a full connectivity test with your teacher before commencement of Lessons.

I hope that these few extra pointers are helpful to you. Good luck with your learning experience
