I believe that English is important in part because it is used so extensively by business people around the world. Therefore, it can be important for a person's career to learn English, and it can be very convenient if one wishes to travel and meet other people from around the world. Besides, English is important for getting to know people in the Open English World community.

However, having said that, each language and culture is important in its own right and should be respected. It is always nice to learn another person's native language -- whatever language that may be -- to make them feel at ease.

That was a good question!
One of the reasons why english is important,is that since it is spoken in many parts of the world,it brings us closer to each other. If we can communicate we are able to understand each other and our cultures.It helps in exchange of ideas and knowledge.

That is good question. being a person who travels alot I found out if you speak english life will be easier for you..English is international language. If you want to get a job (I mean international job) you have speak and can write good English. Every decent job is required good english. So i really really think English is very importan that is why i am here...

I believe that it is very intereting question that posted by you Mohammed. Indeed wherever you go abroad and whoever you meet the first think comes in your mind is that you can comunicate in English. Moreover for people looking for the scientific or professional growth English will become essential.
I do believe also that there are works such as medicine, telecomunications, scientific research,...etc. for which English language becomes indyspensable especialy in our present era "The Globalization".

I agree that there is another point of view claiming the low importance of English for study and work and that the people can live, work, and go on their fields without the need to be bothered by the task of studieng a foreign language.
They might be allright but I'm talking now about a people who are looking forward to upgrading and renewing their knowledge, experience and skills by the close follow-up of any everydays innovations.
